Is Permanent Beauty Right For Me?

Microblading + Permanent Makeup + Cosmetic Tattoo is not for everyone. Certain clients either cannot receive this service at all due to medical or skin conditions, or will have a harder time retaining pigment resulting in additional touch-ups to achieve results. Certain people simply can not retain pigment no matter what their medical history or how many appointments they have had. While we do our best to help you achieve your beauty goals, we have no way of knowing how your skin will react to the pigments and procedures and can not guarantee results due to each person’s unique body chemistry. During your consultation we will go over your medical history and discuss whether this service is right for you.

How Long Will It Last?

While everyone processes the pigments differently, you can expect a semi-permanent service like Microblading to last approximately 12 – 18 months. Depending on each person’s beauty goals, some of our clients come in for touch-ups every 6 months while others wait until their pigment has lightened completely. Meanwhile Permanent Makeup and Cosmetic Tattoo can last anywhere between 3-5 years which allows for touch-ups that are a bit more spread out time wise.

Does It Hurt?

Everyone is different when it comes to pain thresholds and while we can not predict how these procedures will feel on you, we can say that we use topical anesthetics that are meant to minimize your discomfort as much as possible. With that said, we have yet to meet a client who could not sit through a session.

What Can I Expect After My Procedure?

It is normal for the area to be slightly irritated or swollen following your appointment depending on what area we have worked on. You may also feel some itching or tightness in the area and might even experience some slight scabbing. These are all normal, the most important thing to remember is that you should NEVER under ANY circumstances pick any scabbing or flaking. This will affect your results. Let us say that again, NO PICKING at all. You are welcome to use an ice pack wrapped in a CLEAN paper towel for 15 minutes out of every hour for the first 24 hours to minimize swelling or discomfort.

Can It Get Infected?

We abide by the highest possible standards of hygiene during every procedure using sterile and disposable materials. While infections are unusual, it’s VERY important to follow After Care Instructions to minimize chances of infection. Keep your Instructions handy to remind yourself how to care for your procedure during Perfecting + Touch-Up Sessions.

What Will It Look Like While I’m Healing?

The healing period is different for everyone. You may experience slight redness or irritation directly after your appointment, this should go away in the first 24 hours. You may experience slight swelling which can cause the appearance of the procedure to appear slightly uneven. Please give the skin time to heal and recall that we will be able to address any pigment that is not retained or areas that need to be touched up during your Perfecting Session. You may notice that for the first few days following your your procedure the area may look darker and then in the days following will start to lighten and possibly even disappear in certain areas. This is a normal part of the process. The pigment will resurface and we must wait at least four weeks to truly be able to see which parts of the pigment were retained and which we need to address during your Perfecting Session. The important thing to remember is that you CAN NOT use any makeup whatsoever on the area we’ve treated for at least 2 weeks following your procedure.

Are You Able To Make My Brows Perfectly Symmetrical?

We invite our clients to remember that brows are sisters and not twins. It is close to impossible to create PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL brows. We all have natural asymmetry in our features and while we do our absolute best to create a more symmetrical look and bring balance to any shape or height differences you have, it is important to have realistic expectations. It is also important to remember that your results can only truly be gauged 4 weeks after your Perfecting Session.

Do You Provide Any Guarantees?

Unfortunately we can not provide any type of guarantee for any Microblading, Permanent Makeup, or Cosmetic Tattoo procedures performed. So many unique elements come into play when it comes to medical and skin conditions, body chemistry and lifestyle decisions that it is impossible for myself or any other practitioner to provide any type of guarantees. We do our best to provide each client with top notch ingredients, techniques, and sanitary practices but that does not equal a guaranteed result.

What Should I Do If I Have More Questions?

We invite you to come in for a Consultation to go over any additional questions you might have regarding these procedures. A Consultation Fee of $50 will be charged that will be used towards your service if you schedule your appointment within three months from date of Consultation. Feel free to email us your questions as well.
